About us
A group of Builders in Wollongong formed themselves into an association, they used to hold meetings at various venues in Wollongong, until they purchased a piece of land in Charlotte street in 1951.
Not long after the club was opened and a second floor added, the realisation was that they needed more space and subsequently they purchased our current site on Church street, with the new club officially opening in April 1963.
Since 1963, The Builders Club has been serving the Illawarra community. In 2019, we embarked on a multi-million dollar renovation, that includes multi-storey car parking, and brand new home for Stonegrill Steakhouse, the BRAND new cocktail bar The Botanist Bar and the NEW home on Sport in Wollongong, Legends Sports Bar.

NOTICE TO MEMBERS OF CHANGE TO THE CLUBS AUDITOR
As per ASIC disclosure requirements this notice serves to inform our members of a change in the Clubs Auditor.
Our current Auditor, Ian Charles Brown has resigned his position of Auditor for the Club with consent given by ASIC on the 11 July 2023.
Our new incoming Auditor is Ben Fock of HLB Mann Judd (Wollongong).
Ian Brown has retired and we thank him for his many years of service to the Club and wish him a long and healthy retirement.
